Post Credit Film The Conjuring 3 Deleted, This Is What The Director Says
JAKARTA - Director Michael Chaves revealed, the film The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It should have a post credit scene. However, the scene did not make it into the final part of the film.
Speaking to NME on Wednesday, June 2, Chaves mentioned the reason why he deleted the post credit.
"I'll keep it a mystery because (The Conjuring) could come back in another form. We are very proud of the ending of this film. It's close to the story," he said.
Then he explained that The Conjuring 3 does not end the whole story but only closes the trilogy.
"This isn't the end of Warren's case but it's like closing the trilogy as well and solidly as my ending."
In fact, Chaves said the film The Conjuring 3 is a link to The Conjuring 8.
"So the fourth and fifth films were skipped and then came back, so it was really complicated, that's why I removed the post credit scene because people wouldn't understand."
Various villains are present in the story of The Conjuring, including Annabelle, Valak, and The Crooked Man. Chaves also admitted that he was enthusiastic about the idea of combining all the villains.
The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It follows Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. They are trying to solve the murder case of a 19-year-old teenager against a 40-year-old man.
In his trial, the teenager admitted he was possessed by a demon when he killed the man. The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting June 4.
