BLACKPINK Becomes the First Artist with 100 Million Subscribers on YouTube
JAKARTA - BLACKPINK has set a new record in their 10-year career. The group became the first artist in YouTube history with 100 million subscribers.
Friday, February 20 local time, YouTube presented the Red Diamond Creator Award, a trophy given to BLACKPINK for the first time. This trophy is in the shape of a YouTube logo with a red logo with several polygons.
The members of BLACKPINK, namely Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose pose with the trophy in a poster released by YG Entertainment.
"Thank you, BLINKs!" as a thank you to fans who have subscribed to their YouTube channel since 2016.
Not only the number of subscribers, BLACKPINK also set a record thanks to several music videos that have been watched more than 1 Billion or the "1 Billion Views Club"
Some music videos that have been watched more than 1 billion are DDU-DU DDU-DU, Kill This Love, BOOMBAYAH, AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST, How You Like That, and Pink Venom.
In addition to the music video, the performance video of How You Like That and the music video MONEY from LISA and SOLO from Jennie also obtained similar numbers.
BLACKPINK has just completed their latest tour, Deadline, which has been running for a year on various continents. Currently, the four members are also focusing on their solo activities.
