Not Only Energy, Rosan Plans to Import 50 Boeing Aircraft Units
JAKARTA - The Minister of Investment and Industrialization/Head of BKPM and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani revealed two major plans that directly touch the import balance sheet, namely the purchase of energy and the procurement of aircraft from the US.
Rosan said the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) agreement includes energy imports of up to 15 billion US dollars per year and the procurement of 50 Boeing aircraft.
"There is a plan to buy 50 aircraft by Boeing," said Rosan in a written statement, Friday, February 20.
Rosan said that initial communication with Boeing was underway and would be followed up.
Rosan also mentioned the plan to import energy from the United States.
"There is an agreement to import gas and crude oil worth 15 billion dollars per year," he said.
He emphasized that some parts of the implementation of the agreement were within the scope of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Affairs, especially regarding investments and projects that were being prepared.
"We have also started discussions on several possible investments on the pipeline, both in the oil and gas sector and in other fields," said Rosan.
