Volkswagen Tayron R-Line Officially Launched, Three-Row SUV to Replace Tiguan Allspace

JAKARTA - Volkswagen officially launched its new flagship SUV for the Indian market, the model is the first three-row Tayron R-Line SUV from VW in India after the Tiguan Allspace was discontinued.

Citing the Rushlane website, Friday, February 20, this car was only launched in one complete R-Line trim. The goal is to combine sophistication and a sporty look in one package.

Regarding the price, the Volkswagen Tayron R Line is priced at 4,699,000 rupees or a range of Rp. 870 million which is the introductory price for this flagship SUV.

There are 7 monochrome color options, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Ultra Violet Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, Dolphin Grey Metallic, and Cipressino Green Metallic.

The Tayron R Line is positioned in India as a flagship product and will compete with cars such as the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and others. The Tayron R-Line was launched in the country through the CKD line with assembly operations carried out at the Chatrapati Sambhajinagar facility in the state of Maharashtra.

Tayron, which was formerly an exclusive name in China, is now positioned as the successor to the Tiguan Allspace. The Volkswagen Tayron 2026 has a length of 4,792 mm, a width of 1,866 mm, a height of 1,665 mm, and a wheelbase of 4,792 mm. This is arguably a longer wheelbase version of the Tiguan.

The exterior design is typical of VW with the newer IQ design language. Intelligent and adaptive IQ HD Matrix headlights, 19-inch Coventry alloy wheels, a firm shoulder line, dynamic character lines on the side, connected LED taillights and connected LED DRL with illuminated VW logos in the front and back.

In the interior, the VW Tayron R Line gets a special Ergo Active front seat that can be adjusted electrically in 12 directions, equipped with cooling, heating, and has 8 massage functions and 3 memory settings.
