Hospital on Wheels: Banten Presents 8 Advanced Mobile Clinics Based on Telemedicine

JAKARTA - The face of health services in Banten Province is preparing to enter a new era that is more futuristic and inclusive. Through the "Banten Sehat" initiative, the Banten Provincial Government will soon launch eight units of Telemedicine Mobile Clinics worth Rp36.6 billion. These vehicles are specially designed to bring first-class medical facilities directly to the front door of residents, especially in remote areas that are difficult to reach.

The Head of the Banten Provincial Health Office, Ati Pramudji Hastuti, emphasized that this unit is not an ordinary ambulance, but a digital integrated mobile clinic.

Medical Technology at Your Fingertips: From Ultrasound to Real-Time Specialist Although it is a vehicle, the contents inside are equivalent to a modern hospital examination room. This mobile clinic is designed to answer the various needs of people's healthy lifestyles today, including:

Pregnant Mother Examination: Equipped with an ultrasound device to monitor fetal health wherever the mother is located.

Modern Disease Detection: EKG and mini laboratory tools are available to check the risk of hypertension and diabetes instantly.

Emergency & Radiology Management: Having a ventilator for emergencies as well as a portable x-ray for early detection of TB.

Its main advantage lies in the Telemedicine system. General practitioners in the field can consult in real-time via video or digital data with specialists at Banten Hospital. This means that even residents in the mountains can get diagnoses from expert doctors without having to travel for hours to the city.

Design Flexibility: Large Type and Small Type Agile Understanding the diverse Banten terrain, this procurement is divided into two types:

Large Type: To reach areas with more adequate road access.

Small Type: Designed to be agile to penetrate narrow paths in mountainous areas or remote villages.

Although different in size, both carry the same sophisticated medical equipment. The budget of Rp. 36.6 billion sourced from the BLUD fund is targeted to start operating and providing benefits to the community starting March 2026.

Realizing the "Healthy Banten" Ecosystem This program is not merely the procurement of vehicles, but part of a long-term vision to strengthen digital technology-based health services. With a rotating operational system, this mobile clinic will be a solution for areas far from Puskesmas, ensuring that no citizen is left behind in obtaining quality health services.

The presence of this mobile clinic proves that in the future, distance is no longer a barrier to getting precise and professional medical treatment.
