Wijaya Karya Wins Contract to Build Unggul Garuda Kaltara High School for Rp290.9 Billion
JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) won a contract to build Unggul Garuda High School worth IDR 290.9 billion in North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara).
In this project, WIKA also collaborates with its subsidiary, PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE), which is included in the Operation Cooperation (KSO) scheme.
The Garuda High School project, located in Jelai Selor Village, Tanjung Selor District, Bulungan Regency, includes the construction of an integrated and comprehensive educational facility, ranging from preparatory work, implementation of a construction safety management system (K3), land preparation to the physical construction of the main building and utilities. area.
WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito said that the facilities to be built include academic buildings, classrooms, multipurpose halls, art and performance theaters, mosques, and sports facilities in the form of football fields.
"In addition, this area is also equipped with supporting housing in the form of student dormitories (Graha Putra and Graha Putri), staff apartments, 29 pairs of type I official residences, and special houses for school principals and guests," Agung said in a written statement, Thursday, February 19.
Agung said, his party's commitment to completing the construction on time, good quality standards and ensuring that the facilities built are able to become a center for the development of superior science and technology talents for the Indonesian youth, especially in border areas.
"This project not only presents physical infrastructure, but also becomes a long-term investment in human development. This initiative is in line with the direction of national development through Astacita, especially in creating a superior generation ready to compete globally," he explained.
He hopes that the presence of SMA Unggul Garuda will become a center for science and technology education that encourages the birth of superior human resources and expands access to quality education in border areas.
