The appearance of the Permanent Housing built by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in North Aceh
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) has completed the construction of 39 permanent residences (huntap) for flood victims in Kuala Cangkoy Village, North Aceh Regency.
The 39 huntap are part of the target of 104 housing units built by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"Alhamdulillah, I am directly monitoring the process of this huntap construction is running smoothly, from unpacking materials at the Belawan Port to arriving at Kuala Cangkoy and being worked on safely. I am optimistic that all targets can be completed by the end of March 2026," said Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago in the press release.
According to Djamari, the presence of this huntap is a form of the government's concern for all disaster victims in Aceh.
The construction of this huntap, continued Djamari, is also a symbol of collaboration between the Ministry of Defense, local governments and TNI elements in providing decent housing for flood victims.
Until now, the process of building the huntap from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is still ongoing.
Djamari hopes that the construction can be carried out quickly so that the community can enjoy the warmth of the outgoing house in the upcoming Ramadan holy month.
"Hopefully the next houses will be completed soon so that the community can get decent permanent housing," explained Djamari.
