Metro Jaya Police Chief Leads Cleaning of Scattered Garbage at Tanjung Priok Toll Road
JAKARTA - The ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Resik and Beautiful) Task Force of the Metro Jaya Police, together with the North Jakarta Metro Police, North Jakarta City Government and the TNI, carried out a volunteer activity to clean up the garbage that was scattered under the Sungai Bambu toll road, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Thursday, February 19, afternoon.
This activity was led directly by the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri. In addition to cleaning up the garbage, the Police Chief also planted tabebuya trees on the connecting Kali (PHB) banks.
"This Asri national activity is an agenda for us to jointly maintain environmental cleanliness in public areas, public areas," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, accompanied by the North Jakarta Police Chief, Kombes Erick Frendriz at the location.
Kombes Budi said this activity needs to be carried out continuously.
"So this needs to be continuous, not only implemented today but continuously every week, month, it must be carried out continuously," he said.
Meanwhile, the elements involved in the activity are the TNI, Polri, North Jakarta City Government, community elements, religious figures, youth leaders, from the LH Office, Satpol PP, Water Resources and Kelurahan.
"This means a moral movement for us to jointly mobilize the community elements that a healthy and clean life is a necessity for all of us," he said.
Kombes Budi said that this activity is a movement that is not carried out by one region alone, but for all regions.
"This means that there are 13 regions in the Polda Metro Jaya. Including the Bekasi, Depok, Tangerang and Airport areas. All of these are from outside the DKI region that we carry out. ST 337 sent by the National Police Headquarters is a national movement, all Polda in Indonesia down to the smallest level, namely the Polsek," he said.
