Fuel Transport Aircraft Crashes in Nunukan, North Sulawesi
JAKARTA - A fuel oil (BBM) transport aircraft on the Tarakan route to Krayan, Nunukan Regency, is reported to have crashed in the Krayan Timur District, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Thursday, February 19 afternoon.
Confirmed the incident, the East Krayan Regent, Lianthoni, confirmed that there was a plane crash, but he could not confirm where it was located.
"Yes it's true (the plane crashed) which carries fuel. It fell around 12 o'clock," he said when contacted via text message, quoted by Antara.
From the information circulating, the plane is estimated to have fallen between Mount Pa' Betung and Pa' Remayo. However, it cannot be confirmed.
He said that he was looking for it with the surrounding community and was currently in the forest.
"We are still looking for the place of the fall. We are still in the forest," he said briefly.
