KLE500 Officially Released, Tough Adventure Motorcycle for Touring and Heavy Duty

JAKARTA - Kawasaki officially launched the KLE500 in Thailand which was priced at 199,000 baht or around Rp107 million.

Quoting from the Greatbikers website, Thursday, February 19, this adventure motorcycle comes with a Metallic Carbon Gray/Ebony color, KLE500 is positioned as a practical off-road motorcycle suitable for paved and unpaved terrain.

This motorcycle has a rally-style design that emphasizes functional robustness, not just aggressive exterior aesthetics. This motorcycle is designed for long-distance travel and steady control in all road conditions.

Talking about the heart of the engine, this motorcycle is equipped with a 451 cc two-cylinder parallel engine with fuel injection, water-cooled. This engine produces a maximum power of 52 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 42.6 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

The character of this engine emphasizes practical torque, from low revs to climbing hills or heavy terrain to medium to high revs to overtake on the highway. Combined with a 6-speed manual transmission and multi-plate wet clutch, the power delivery feels natural and easy to control.

Although intended for adventure, this motorcycle comes with more comfort. The front suspension uses a 43 mm upside-down fork, while the rear suspension uses the Uni-Trak system. The front braking system uses a 300 mm disc with a double piston caliper, while the rear uses a 230 mm disc with a double piston caliper as well.
