AHY Assures Democrats All Out to Support Prabowo Government

JAKARTA - The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), emphasized his party's commitment to continue to monitor the course of the government of President Prabowo Subianto until it is complete, successful and sustainable.

This statement was made by AHY during the 2026 national Chinese New Year celebration held by the Democratic Party with cadres and community leaders. The event was also attended by a number of Red and White Cabinet officials, including Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Ossy Dermawan and Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor.

"Democrats want to continue to supervise and succeed the government led by President Prabowo Subianto. Development of the nation that is just and sustainable. We want Indonesia to grow, progress, and develop," said AHY in his speech at the Djakarta Theater I, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 18.

In his speech, AHY highlighted the increasingly complex global challenges, ranging from the climate crisis, geopolitical uncertainty, to the threat of war. In the midst of this situation, AHY emphasized the importance of national solidarity to support the government.

The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development also reminded that the competitiveness and resilience of the nation are the key to facing global disruptions. Therefore, his party is committed to maintaining political stability for the sake of achieving people's welfare.

"We must have the resilience to face disruption. We must not be left behind, we must not be losers, we must not just be spectators in our own country," he said.
