Attorney General OTT DPRD Member of Muara Enim related to Irrigation Corruption

PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office carried out a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) against a member of the Muara Enim Regency DPRD regarding the receipt of gifts or gratuities at the Ataran Air Lemutu Irrigation Network Development Activity, Tanjung Agung District, Muara Enim PUPR Office, worth Rp. 1.6 billion.

Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said his party arrested two people with the initials KT as a member of the Muara Enim DPRD and RA as his son.

The Prosecutor's Office made the two suspects in the case of receiving gifts or promises or gratification/bribes in the development of the Ataran Air Lemutu Irrigation Network in Tanjung Agung District in the Muara Enim PUPR Office.

He said the team of investigators from the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office carried out searches at three locations, namely the witness's house KT at the Hunian Sederhana Greencity Block Q5 Village of Muara Lawai, Muara Enim Regency.

Then the house of witness KT at the Hunian Sederhana Greencity Housing Block Q6, Muara Lawai Village, Muara Enim Regency. Then the house of witness MH at Jl. Pramuka 4 Rt.1 Rw.7 Kel. Pasar II, Muara Enim District, Muara Enim Regency.

"Currently, the team of investigators at the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office has examined ten witnesses and it turns out that the money of around Rp. 1.6 billion that originated from the project," he said as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 18.

As for the results of the search at the three locations, then a seizure was made against one unit of a white Alphard car with the plate B 2451 KYR, documents, electronic goods, mobile phones and letters that were considered necessary and related to the case.

The Attorney General explained that the case would continue to be developed and did not rule out the possibility of conducting a local government examination including the Regent.

"This matter will continue to be developed and it is not impossible to conduct an inspection from the local government including the Regent of Muara Enim," he said.

Meanwhile, the figure of Rp1.6 billion is part of the contract value in the case of Rp7 billion.
