From Tawuran, Satpol PP asks teenagers in Jakarta to attend lightning pesantren during Ramadan
JAKARTA - Satpol PP DKI Jakarta held a supervisory and discipline appeal during the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. After the appeal, Deputy Head of Satpol PP DKI Jakarta M. Rizki Adhari Jusal reminded the potential for disturbances to order such as sahur on the road (SOTR) and youth fights that often appear during the fasting month.
"There are things that we may need to be aware of together besides the supervision of the holy month of Ramadan, sahur on the road, then fights between teenagers which are usually done, we can both press. So, let's say the energy of these young people can be channeled through flash boarding schools," said Rizki at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, February 18.
Rizki invites teenagers to channel their energy into more positive activities during Ramadan, especially because school activities are usually on vacation. According to him, the emptiness of activities during school holidays often makes some teenagers not control their activities.
"There are activities that can channel the energy of children, maybe during the holy month of Ramadan, the school is usually on vacation, so it is not controlled in relation to its activities and activities," he said.
In addition to anticipating disturbances to public order, Satpol PP has also begun to monitor entertainment and recreation businesses ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 M.
The supervision is carried out together with an integrated team involving the Polda Metro Jaya, Kogartab I Jakarta, the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy, Kesbanglinmas, and the ranks of Satpol PP at the provincial and city levels. This activity is routinely held every Ramadan.
He added that patrols would be intensified at night until before dawn, because people's activities tend to increase at that time.
"This is an activity that is carried out in every activity during the holy month of Ramadan for 33 days, 1 day before the holy month of Ramadan and 2 days after Eid al-Fitr. So, if in total there are 33 days," he said.
Patrol is carried out every day by targeting locations that are the target of operations, especially businesses that are required to close at certain times or during Ramadan in accordance with the Regional Regulation and Regional Regulation on tourism. If violations are found, enforcement is carried out gradually.
"If there is indeed a violation, we will first make a report, then we will be called first what the violation is because usually during the holy month of Ramadan, the operational hours. Usually the operational hours that we monitor are often violated and once again, it will be a gradual step in handling it," explained Rizki.
