KPK Chairman Appoints 3 Deputy: Don't Be Disappointed if You Are Not Selected

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto appointed three deputies today. He ensured that the selected figures had passed the selection by the team formed internally.

The three people who were inaugurated were the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu; Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Aminudin; and Deputy for Coordination and Supervision of the KPK Ely Kusumastuti.

"Although on one side there are those who are not elected, I say to those who are not elected, don't be discouraged, it's just a matter of time," said Setyo in his remarks during the inauguration ceremony at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Setyo said this deputy position is very strategic. The three who were newly inaugurated were asked to work and move as much as possible. "The movement from this deputy determines the steps of the ecosystem that exists in the Corruption Eradication Commission, yes," he said.

"So if the deputy is passive, then the directors will also be like that," he continued.

Setyo also asked the deputies who had just been inaugurated to continue to follow the development of the times. "Then we can't just stay in place, we have to be adaptive," he said.

"If it can be adaptive, adjust it. Not that we expect others to adjust, no. We must be able to adjust to each other. How is the environment, how is the place of performance, how are the employees, and others, all must be able to adjust to each other," said the former KPK Investigation Director.

Finally, Setyo reminded these new deputies not to prioritize the ego of their work units. Everyone must synergize in carrying out their duties.

"We hope that with the trust that has been given, it can really color the Corruption Eradication Commission as a whole. I say, I also emphasize that we must be able to collaborate with all parties. I don't want there to be only sectoral ones."
