Kaltara Police Chief Emphasizes Integrity and Professionalism of Personnel at HKN

TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan Police Chief (Kaltara) Irjen Djati Wiyoto Abadhy emphasized the importance of integrity, discipline, and professionalism for all police personnel amid increasing public demands for the performance of the apparatus.

The affirmation was conveyed during the National Awareness Day at the Kaltara Police Headquarters, Wednesday, February 18.

"This National Awareness Day must be interpreted as a momentum for evaluating the performance and strengthening the moral commitment of the apparatus, not just a monthly routine," said Inspector General Djati.

In addition, the Police Chief also reminded that the challenges of the Polri's duties were increasingly complex, while the public's expectations for fast, clean, and humanistic services continued to increase.

"National Awareness Day is an introspection for all of us to reaffirm our commitment to Tribrata and Catur Prasetya," said Inspector General Djati.

The Police Chief emphasized that professionalism without integrity would damage public trust. Therefore, every member of the National Police is required to maintain behavior, both while on duty and in the private sector, considering that public scrutiny of the police is getting stronger.

"I also remind that the task of the police does not stop at law enforcement and maintaining security, but includes building closeness to the community through fair, transparent and non-discriminatory services," he said.

In the digital era, he continued, small mistakes by the police can quickly spread and have a wide impact on the image of the institution. Therefore, internal solidity, discipline, and the ability to adapt to technological developments are the key to maintaining the professionalism of the National Police.

"I hope all personnel in the Kaltara region can use this momentum as a reminder to work more cleanly, accountable, and oriented towards the interests of the community, while maintaining the dignity of the police institution in the border area," he said.
