When AI Superman vs Batman Makes Warner Bros Angry

JAKARTA - Warner Bros. production company made a statement to Bytedance for a blatant violation related to AI (artificial intelligence) services in the use of videos on the platform.

The excessive permitted use of AI facilitates its use to create AI from their characters. This letter is addressed to John Rogovin, general counsel at Bytedance who turned out to have worked at Warner Bros.

The statement also contained a defense of the copyrights of Superman and Batman, which are some of the characters at Warner Bros.

"These characters are the lifeblood of the company. ByteDance is now involved in the exploitation of the property you protected for years," wrote Wayne Smith, a legal representative for Warner Bros., launching Variety.

This statement is a request to ByteDance to train characters and rules regarding the use of AI related to a service called Seedance.

"Users are not the ones who are rooted because of this violation. They are building on the foundation of what Bytedance has said in relation to Warner Bros. Discovery," he said.

Previously, Bytedance launched Seedance 2.0, a generation service that combines several materials for videos. With this service, the TikTok platform began to be filled with videos containing scenes of Batman fighting Spider-Man, Superman with Thanos, and other figures.

TikTok users also use this service to change the ending of stories from movies and series, one of which is the ending of the Game of Thrones story.

In addition to Warner Bros., Disney and Paramount also released similar statements that were considered to violate their properties.

Bytedance has not responded to the letter delivered by Warner Bros.
