LRT Jabodebek Passengers Can Break Fast on the Train until 19.00 WIB, Here are the Rules

JAKARTA - During Ramadan 1447 H, KAI again implemented a special policy for users of the Jabodebek LRT who carry out fasting. Passengers are allowed to break the fast in the train or station area from the time of the Magrib adhan until 19.00 WIB.

Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Radhitya Mardika, explained that this policy is a form of service to users who want to remain comfortable carrying out fasting without disturbing the order of travel. In addition, to accommodate the needs of the community who are still on the way when the time of breaking the fast arrives, especially during the rush hour which is the highest mobility period in the Jabodebek area.

"At the time of breaking the fast, LRT Jabodebek users are allowed to consume light food and drinks such as dates, bread, and drinking water. However, it is not allowed to consume heavy food and food that smells pungent in order to maintain mutual comfort," he said.

In addition to providing flexibility for breaking the fast on the train, the Jabodebek LRT also provides free drinking water facilities at all stations that can be used by users of the Jabodebek LRT. KAI appeals to all users to maintain cleanliness during breaking the fast on the train.

"Food and beverage waste is asked to be stored first and disposed of in the trash provided at the destination station," he added.

In terms of operations, the Jabodebek LRT continues to serve travel normally with 430 trips on weekdays and 270 trips on weekends, national holidays, and joint holidays.

With this policy, KAI hopes that LRT Jabodebek users can carry out the fasting with more comfort without reducing the aspects of safety, order, and travel efficiency.
