UN Says Israel Continues to Block Humanitarian Operations to Gaza
JAKARTA - The Israeli Zionist occupiers continue to obstruct humanitarian aid operations to the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire that has been in place since last October. This was revealed by the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric.
At a press conference held at the UN Headquarters in New York, United States, Dujarric said his colleagues reported that humanitarian operations in Gaza were still being obstructed.
"Our colleagues at the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) have reported that humanitarian operations in Gaza continue to face significant obstacles," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 17.
He further explained that of the approximately 50 aid initiatives coordinated on February 6-11, "the Israeli authorities only allowed half of them to enter" Gaza.
