Formula 1 channel Appears on Apple TV, Can't Be Deleted by Users
JAKARTA - A special Formula 1 channel now appears on the Apple TV app ahead of the start of the 2026 racing season. However, this new element cannot be edited, moved, or deleted by users.
This move is part of Apple Inc.'s expansion of sports content, following the Formula 1 broadcasting rights partnership obtained in October 2025. All 2026 races are available at no additional cost to Apple TV customers in the United States.
For users of Apple TV devices and apps on iPad and Mac, the Formula 1 channel appears in the sidebar, next to the Major League Soccer tab. Meanwhile, iPhone users can see it on the Home or Search tab.
Unlike some other elements in the app, this Formula 1 shortcut is permanent for users running iOS 26 or later. There is no option to hide or reset its position.
Currently, the channel features previous race broadcasts, including from the Albert Park Circuit, as well as additional content such as pre-season videos and a feature to add race schedules to the Up Next list.
The channel also contains the complete schedule for the 2026 Formula 1 season which will start on March 8 with the Melbourne Grand Prix.
