Strengthen Digital Competencies, Ministry of Manpower and Shopee Hold Training of Trainers (ToT) Shopee Affiliate Training

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and Shopee Indonesia collaborate to strengthen human resource development by launching the Training of Trainers: Shopee Affiliate (With BNSP Certified Instructor). This program is present to answer the challenge of the digital skills gap, especially in the use of e-commerce platforms as a source of economic opportunities.

Shopee Affiliate ToT is intended to increase the capacity and competence of human resources in the field of digital economy, especially in the development of digital marketing skills and the utilization of affiliate schemes in the e-commerce ecosystem.

The Training of Trainers Program: Shopee Affiliate (With BNSP Certified Instructor) was attended by 100 participants who are instructors from the Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BPVP) and the Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BBPVP) of the Ministry of Manpower which are spread across various regions in Indonesia.

The instructors will undergo training provided by trainers from the Shopee Campus UMKM Training Academy who have been certified by BNSP. This training lasts for three days, on 11-13 February 2026, and is equipped with comprehensive learning materials.

Through this program, participants will be equipped with knowledge and skills related to the affiliate marketing ecosystem so that they can implement similar training at vocational centers and reach participants in their respective areas.

The launch of the program and training was opened directly by the Minister of Manpower, Yassierli at the BBPVP Bekasi Hall, West Java, Wednesday, February 11. In addition to the Minister of Manpower, the event was also attended by the Deputy Director of Public Affairs Shopee Indonesia, Radynal Nataprawira, Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity Development of the Ministry of Manpower, Darmawansyah, Special Staff of the Minister of Manpower Herry Nugraha, and Member of the National Certification Body for Professions (BNSP), Adi Mahfudz Wuhadji.

In his remarks, the Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, said that this collaboration is a strategic step to prepare a workforce that is adaptive to the development of the digital economy. According to him, digital skills-based training programs such as affiliates can be an alternative to job opportunities and new sources of income for the community.

"The transformation of the world of work requires us to continue to adapt. The Shopee Affiliate Training of Trainers program is expected to expand employment opportunities, as well as encourage the improvement of labor competencies so that they can compete in the digital era," said Yassierli.

Not only that, through this training, vocational center instructors are not only equipped with technical understanding of affiliate marketing, but are also prepared to become agents of change in their respective areas. They are expected to be able to convey this knowledge and skills to the community, especially the younger generation and job seekers, so that they can open up new business opportunities and new sources of income independently.

"Collaboration between the government and the private sector like this is the key to accelerating the development of national labor competencies. We hope that this program can make a real contribution to creating jobs, increasing productivity, and encouraging inclusive and sustainable digital economic growth," added Yassierli.

Kemnaker hopes that this collaboration will open more opportunities for people to learn, work, and develop in the midst of the rapid growth of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. In the future, the instructors who have attended the Shopee Affiliate Training of Trainers will be the driving force in the development of training in various vocational centers in the region.

Deputy Director of Public Affairs Shopee Indonesia, Radynal Nataprawira said, through this program, Shopee not only shares knowledge and best practices in the affiliate ecosystem, but also supports the role of vocational centers as centers for developing digital talent to regions.

Through the Shopee Affiliate Training of Trainers training, we hope that the vocational center instructors not only understand the practice of affiliate marketing comprehensively, but also are able to be the spearhead in disseminating this knowledge to the public in various regions," said Radynal.

As part of Shopee's long-term commitment, the Shopee Campus UMKM Training Academy targets to train 500 trainers by the end of 2026 which are spread across various cities in Indonesia. This target is expected to expand the reach of the program to more vocational training centers in various regions, as well as accelerate the process of strengthening the capacity of instructors so that more people can access digital skills training on an ongoing basis.

For information, since it was first launched in 2021, the Shopee UMKM Campus has provided assistance and education to millions of MSMEs in Indonesia. To date, the Shopee UMKM Campus has held more than 350,000 hours of training and is supported by nearly 400 learning modules designed to increase the capacity of business actors and digital talent.

In the series of training at the Shopee UMKM Training and Campus Academy, Shopee Affiliate is often introduced as one of the learning modules that provides a real picture of economic opportunities in the digital sector, while opening up alternative sources of income that are relevant to the current world of work.
