Light Rain Expected to Flood Jakarta on Tuesday Afternoon to Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that light rain will pour over all areas of DKI Jakarta on Tuesday, February 17 afternoon to evening.

In the morning, all areas of Jakarta have the potential to be thick clouds, except for the Thousand Islands area, which is expected to rain lightly.

The air temperature is expected to be in the range of 24-26 degrees Celsius with high humidity.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon and evening, all areas of Jakarta, without exception, are expected to experience light rain. The air temperature reaches its peak in the range of 27-29 degrees Celsius.

Then at night, light rain is expected to continue in the Thousand Islands with other areas of Jakarta cloudy. The temperature will drop to around 24-27 degrees Celsius.

Although there is no early warning of extreme weather, residents are still urged to be alert to slippery roads and the potential for flooding in a number of vulnerable points.

Drivers are advised to maintain a safe distance, while people who are active outdoors should prepare umbrellas or raincoats.
