Debut Wide Screen, Anneth Delliecia Happy to Act with Aldy Maldini

JAKARTA - Young talented singer, Anneth Delliecia, officially spread her wings into the world of acting through her first feature film, Antara Cinta, Mama and Surga.

In his debut, the talent search winner was entrusted to play the main character named Anindita.

Anneth admitted that he was very enthusiastic and challenged by the role. According to him, Anindita's character has a background that is very different from the roles he has played in previous projects.

"It's amazing, it's very challenging with Anindita's role. Because in previous films, there has never been a background like Anindita," said Anneth in South Jakarta, Monday, February 16.

One of the interesting things that Anneth revealed was her love of emotional scenes. Although it takes a lot of tears, Anneth actually feels relieved every time she is asked to cry by the director.

"Every crying scene, I'm actually happy. Because if you cry, you just come out, maybe the feelings you've been holding on to. So maybe that's one of the tips, how can I act crying," he said.

In this film, Anneth is paired with actor and former member of Coboy Junior, Aldy Maldini. Anneth did not deny that she felt awkward and starstruck when she first had to act with Aldy.

The reason is that Aldy is a senior figure who he has long idolized. Anneth even recalled the moment when he was still an Idol contestant and was visited by Aldy.

"I share a lot because Kak Aldy is my senior and I was also a big fan of Kak Aldy. So when I played a movie with him, it was like 'oh my god I'm playing a movie with Aldy Maldini'," said the singer of Maybe Today Tomorrow or Later.

However, Anneth praised Aldy's professionalism, which helped her build chemistry in front of the camera. He admitted that he often asked Aldy for advice on good acting techniques.

Even though it was the first time to taste the big screen industry, Anneth admitted that he had started to feel comfortable in the acting world. Although there was a fear of not being able to meet the expectations of the audience, he ensured that he had given the best performance from the heart.

"I'm overall, I'm comfortable so far. I'll keep singing, and if I can, I'll keep acting in the future," he concluded.

Bernard (Aldy Maldini), the youngest child of the Batak family, is prepared to follow the family tradition of becoming a civil servant for a bright future.

But after graduating from college, dreams about Nommensen shook his thinking and wanted to become a Priest. This decision triggered a major conflict with his family, especially his Mamak (Dharty Manullang).

Caught between his faith, his love for his girlfriend Anindita (Anneth Delliecia), and his family obligations, Bernard must choose the path of life that will determine his future.

The film itself will begin airing on February 19 and features the acting of Novia Situmeang, Cok Simbara, to Rany Simbolon.
