Banten Police Officer Dismissed After Being Involved in Rental Car Fraud Case

BANTEN - A police officer from the Tangerang Police, Banten Police, with the initials Bripka AI was sentenced to demotion for his involvement in a fraud case. He was found guilty of embezzling a rental car.

Imam said, for this matter, this member of the Tangerang Police had undergone a disciplinary hearing at the National Police.

Where, based on reports from two victims in the fraud case and there is another victim related to the problem of debts.

"There are other victims named Tati's mother, the money was borrowed for approximately Rp50 million, but it has not been returned," he said.

He revealed that although he had been demoted, the police officer would still undergo legal proceedings for criminal cases handled directly by the Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"We are still waiting for the process from the Criminal Investigation Unit for general crimes," he said.

Imam added that his party opened a reporting room if there were still other people who were victims of fraud by members of the Tangerang Police.

"If during the examination process it is proven that there has been a violation, Propam ensures that it will take firm action against the person concerned in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, both in terms of ethics, discipline, and criminal law," he said.
