Alleged Fuel Oil Mixed with Water at Bogor SPBU, Pertamina Investigates

BOGOR - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java (JBB) has temporarily stopped distributing Pertalite type fuel at SPBU 34.16316 Parungpanjang District, Bogor Regency, starting Friday, February 13, 2026, following the viral allegation of mixed fuel at the location.

The suspicion arose after a number of videos on social media showed liquid that was allegedly water coming out of the vehicle's tank after filling gasoline at the gas station, accompanied by reports of several vehicles breaking down and being damaged due to the filling of fuel.

Following up on consumer complaints, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB together with the SPBU manager opened a complaint post at the SPBU area to receive complaints directly from consumers and conduct data collection on affected consumers. Until now, the incoming reports have been handled.

The handling carried out includes draining and replacing fuel for consumer vehicles as well as repairs (service) for vehicles affected. The manager of the gas station stated that he was fully responsible for resolving consumer complaints.

The Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB, Susanto August Satria, explained that the temporary suspension of the distribution of Pertalite at the Parungpanjang gas station was a proactive step for a thorough inspection of the infrastructure and operational processes to identify the causes and ensure product quality in accordance with applicable standards.
