Ghea Indrawari Reveals the Impact of Social Media on Love Relationships through the Single "1000x"
JAKARTA - Singer and songwriter Ghea Indrawari is back to greet her listeners with her latest single titled "1000x".
This song tries to dissect the bitter reality behind the social media phenomenon that often triggers dissatisfaction in a romantic relationship. Ghea highlights how the standard of happiness displayed in cyberspace is often a poison for the harmony of couples in the real world.
The "1000x" was born from Ghea's deep observation of the recent cases of infidelity and relationship breakdown. According to him, many people are trapped in the cycle of comparing their partner with the perfect image of others on social media.
"Recently, I have seen many phenomena of infidelity based on dissatisfaction with a partner. In fact, if you remember, maybe their partner has tried as much as possible," said Ghea in her statement, Sunday, February 15.
The 27-year-old musician said that what looks sweet on the screen of a mobile phone does not necessarily represent the real reality. He wants to emphasize that true love does not need public validation or a false label of relationship goals.
"Often, after going through various dynamics and finally really realizing their feelings, they realize that it is the person who still wants to be chosen even if they are given a thousand more chances to live," he continued.
Musically, Ghea still maintains her soft but emotional vocal character. Meanwhile, in the production process, she collaborated with Andrew Joscha Sinaga as a producer.
This song is a continuation of Ghea's consistency in producing reflective works such as her previous hits, "Jiwa yang Bersedih" and "Teramini", which went viral and topped the charts on various digital music platforms.
Through straightforward lyrics, Ghea advises her listeners to stop looking for perfection in others that will never end. For her, appreciating the small efforts of a partner is much more valuable than chasing the imagination of a relationship that seems flawless on the internet.
He hopes "1000x" can be a reminder for everyone to be more grateful for the presence of a figure who has faithfully accompanied them in both happiness and sorrow.
"I believe that there is no perfect relationship and you don't need to believe too much in what people post on social media. Instead of being busy looking for people who are considered more perfect, which in fact will not exist, it's better to be grateful for what is now and love each other as best as possible," said Ghea.
