Money Not Paid, 2 SPPG Stop Operating
JAKARTA - Two Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Tulungagung, East Java, temporarily stopped operations due to the central government's operational assistance funds not being disbursed.
The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Coordinator for the Tulungagung Region, Sebrina Mahardika, said the temporary suspension occurred at the Wates SPPG, Sumbergempol District, and the Bendosari SPPG, Ngantru District.
"There are indeed several SPPG that have stopped temporarily due to delays in receiving operational funds. However, this is not due to delays in submitting proposals," said Sebrina as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 13.
He explained that the operational funds of SPPG were sourced from the central government and directly transferred to each SPPG account.
The delay in disbursement occurred due to changes in the budget system at the central level.
According to him, this condition not only occurs in Tulungagung, but also in a number of other areas that are undergoing a transition period in the distribution system of funds.
Technically, every SPPG that has submitted a proposal according to schedule will receive funds through a virtual account mechanism with an auto top up system.
Funds will be added automatically when the balance in the virtual account approaches a certain limit.
"Each SPPG has a virtual account. If the balance is close to the minimum limit, an automatic top-up will be carried out. Currently, it is still in the transition period of the system," he said.
Due to the lack of operational funds, the two SPPGs have not been able to purchase food to support the implementation of the nutrition fulfillment program.
BGN asked the managers of SPPG that were affected to be patient waiting for the process of adjusting the system until the disbursement of funds returned to normal.
