Yogyakarta-born singer Tarik's album "Cita-Citaku (Ga Jadi Polisi)" after a week of release
JAKARTA - A Yogyakarta-based children's singer, Gandhi Sehat, introduced a mini album or extended play (EP) titled "Cita-Citaku (Ga Jadi Polisi)" on February 5.
However, only a week since its release on digital platforms, the mini album is planned to be completely withdrawn.
Through a letter written by the Gandhi Sehat Management and uploaded on Instagram, it was stated that the withdrawal of the EP was after various interpretations emerged among listeners.
"This album was originally created as a work of art, based on a story from the innocent point of view of a 6-year-old child. However, after seeing the dynamics and various interpretations that have developed in the public space, we decided to stop its circulation," wrote the management, quoted Friday, February 13.
It was not further explained about the various interpretations in question. However, the management stated that the dissemination of the content in question was no longer their responsibility.
"Currently we have removed all related content and songs from our official accounts and channels," he said. We need to convey that any form of re-distribution of content or songs that are still circulating on Juar our official channel is no longer our responsibility."
"This decision was taken without coercion from any party, as a form of our responsibility as creators, and to avoid misunderstandings that we do not want."
Based on VOI's monitoring, until this article was written, the EP "Cita-Citaku (Ga Jadi Polisi)" can still be heard on Gandhi Sehat's official Spotify.
This mini album contains six tracks, namely "Cita-Citaku (Ga Jadi Polisi)", "Kena Marah, Lagi!!!", "Belajar Membaca", "Bangun! Sudah Siang", "Alien Turun ke Bumi", and "Sakit=Bosen".
