Apple Shares Fall Up to 5 Percent, Confirm Latest Version of Siri to be Released This Year

JAKARTA - Recently, Apple is reported to be delaying the presence of an advanced Siri supported by Apple Intelligence. In response to the report, Apple confirmed that the updated Siri will still be released this year.

The statement was made to CNBC about a day after Bloomberg stated that there was a delay in the launch of Siri. This delay is known to have occurred because Apple experienced technical problems again in the development of its digital assistant.

The news sparked a lot of concern, especially since the presence of the updated Siri continues to decline. The Siri update was originally targeted to be present in the spring of last year, but Apple delayed its launch until this year to ensure the quality of its performance.

Apple shares fell as much as five percent on news of the Siri delay. Apple responded quickly to restore investor and user confidence.

Although Apple insists that this Apple Intelligence-based Siri will still be present in 2026, there is no certainty when the digital assistant will be released. Ideally, Siri will be present in the next iPhone update, namely iOS 26.4.

To find out when the digital assistant is present, we need to wait until iOS 26.4 is released, or at least until the first beta version is available in February. This update will give an overview of what features will be available in the version.

In addition to Siri which is supported by Apple Intelligence, there are several other features that are highly anticipated in the update. For example, such as the screen recognition feature and understanding the user's personal context.

The more advanced Siri is reportedly able to perform complex actions within and between applications. The latest version of Siri will also be equipped with the ability to create images and search the web more intelligently.
