Prabowo Instructs Qodari to Find Videos Predicting MBG Program Failed
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto ordered the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Muhammad Qodari to trace and search for video clips uploaded on various social media platforms that predict or predict that free nutritious meals (MBG) will fail.
According to the President, the groups that made the video need to see the success of the government in carrying out the free nutritious meal program, whose beneficiaries are targeted to reach 82.9 million by the end of 2026.
"Mr. Qodari, please collect it. Video clips that predict that we will definitely fail, which say that I insult the Indonesian nation, MBG is an insult to the Indonesian nation. We want to save our children who are said to be insulting. This must have a digital record, all recorded. Insyaallah we will reach 80 million. I ask you to let me, I can look at it every night," said President Prabowo to KSP Qodari at the inauguration of more than 1,700 SPPG centrally at the SPPG Polri Palmerah, Jakarta, Friday, quoted by Antara.
On the same occasion, Prabowo revealed his feelings when he was called "insulting the Indonesian nation". "So I said (to myself, ed.) damn, what is it, what is it that I insult the Indonesian nation? From a young age, lieutenant two, I have nothing, I am ready to die for the Republic. Kok, I even have the heart to insult? No! The rest of my life is only to save, build the Republic of Indonesia," said President Prabowo.
"I want to die defending the truth, justice, and the safety of my people. This is an honor for a soldier, to die for his people. Do you want to insult me? But come on, now we'll prove it together," continued Prabowo, revealing his nervousness.
President Prabowo, in his remarks at the inauguration ceremony, stated that the number of recipients of the latest MBG had reached 60.2 million schoolchildren, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. MBG was first launched on January 6, 2025.
Meanwhile, the number of nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPG) has now reached 23,000 SPPG, of which some are operated by the National Police. SPPG is a working unit formed to run MBG kitchens.
"This number (MBG recipient, ed.) is roughly equivalent to feeding the entire population of South Africa every day, or the same as 10x Singapore every day, or 2x Malaysia every day," said President Prabowo.
