Police Return Stolen Motorcycle Result of Seizure of Curanmor Perpetrator

JAKARTA - A number of motorcycles confiscated as evidence in a theft case from a middleman with the initials CJ in the Tanah Merah area, Koja, North Jakarta, were finally returned by the police to the victims.

"We continue to try to uncover cases of theft of motor vehicles by arresting the perpetrators and returning the motorbikes to the victims," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Onkoseno Grandiarso Sukahar, Friday, February 13, 2026.

AKBP Onkoseno said that every report of motorcycle theft that came in was immediately followed up and tried to return the motorcycle back to its owner.

"We continue to try to uncover the case and arrest the perpetrators," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim of the theft, Dini, said he was touched by the speed of the disclosure of the theft of his motorcycle which was revealed within 1x24 hours.

"My motorcycle was lost and can be returned in one day. I would like to thank the officers of the North Jakarta Metro Police," he said.

He appreciated the quick action of the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit and Jatanras Unit who worked hard with her husband and arrested the perpetrators.

"Fortunately, my motorcycle has a gps. So after it was lost and when I made a police report, the police immediately tracked it down and managed to arrest the perpetrator," he said.

Another victim, Asmin (34), admitted that he was touched because his motorcycle, which had been missing since January 4, 2025, could be returned to him.

He said the motorcycle was lost while he was working in the Pondok Gede area, Bekasi and today the motorcycle returned to his hands.

Previously reported, the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police managed to uncover a case of motorcycle theft (curanmor) related to the circulation of methamphetamine type narcotics in the Tanah Merah area, Koja, North Jakarta, Thursday, February 12, 2026.

In the disclosure of the case, it turned out that the perpetrators of the theft often exchanged stolen motorcycles for money and narcotics to the dealer who also acted as a drug dealer in the Tanah Merah, Koja area.

The main suspects in the curanmor amounted to two people with the initials RM and AS.

Meanwhile, the other 4 suspects are involved in the circulation of narcotics in the Tanah Merah area. The four suspects I, S, A and M are accomplices and dealers of drugs with the initials CJ (DPO).

"So the motor thief with the initials CJ (DPO) is located in Tanah Merah. When raided, at the location of the thief we found various types of sharp weapons in the form of machetes, arrows, bows and drugs. We found a link between curanmor and drugs," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar, accompanied by Jatanras Kanit AKP I Gede Gustiana and Resmob Kanit AKP Seno.
