BGN Claims MBG Creates 897 New Jobs

JAKARTA - The Deputy Secretary for Systems and Governance of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Ermia Sofiyessi, said that new jobs in the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) have reached more than 890 thousand thanks to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.

"The achievement of new employment in SPPG has reached 897,777," said Ermia Sofiyessidilansir ANTARA, Friday, February 13.

Ermia also reported that as of February 12, 2026, a total of 21,897 SPPGs had operated throughout Indonesia serving 65 million beneficiaries ranging from PAUD students to high school students, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and toddlers.

"As of February 12, there are 21,897 SPPG that have been running. Currently the portal has been closed, just waiting for the construction process to be completed. The current beneficiaries have reached 65 million," he said.

BGN targets that by March 2026 there will be 23 thousand SPPG that can operate to serve the MBG Program. Currently there are 5,000 SPPG that are in the process of being built.

Ermia explained that in 2025 there were a total of 32 thousand SPPGs that had been operating, but with the enthusiasm of the community being very high, then for 2026 BGN added a target of 33,670 SPPGs, of which 25,400 were in agglomeration areas and 8,270 in remote areas.

"In 2026 there is also an increase in beneficiaries, where in 2025 teachers and education personnel have not received MBG, so starting January 2026, teachers and education personnel have received it at school," said Deputy Secretary for Systems and Governance BGN Ermia Sofiyessi.
