President about the Polri Food Warehouse: We Know What's Happening, Singgung Gerakan Menjelekkan Indonesia
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has linked the development of the Polri food security warehouse and the SPPG ecosystem with the big agenda of food security and the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
The President said producing food and food was part of maintaining the continuity of the nation. "Producing food, producing food is continuing civilization," said Prabowo at the inauguration and groundbreaking in Palmerah, West Jakarta, Friday, February 13.
Prabowo praised the use of food safety devices at SPPG, ranging from water filters, ultraviolet to kill bacteria on food trays, to food security tests produced domestically.
Prabowo called this achievement "achievable" and "encouraging", and emphasized that the public must know.
The President also emphasized the Polri's initiative to build warehouses as part of the food security ecosystem.
"With warehouses, we can secure the production of results when we need it, so warehouses are strategic," he said.
Prabowo said MBG had a downstream impact on the local economy because one SPPG required daily food supply, which he said also revived small producers.
The President admitted that he received reports from small farmers who used to have difficulty selling their crops, but now they are helped because of the need for SPPG.
Prabowo's tone then hardened when he alluded to criticism from outside and pessimistic narratives within the country. He responded to foreign media criticism about the role of the TNI-Polri in the food agenda, then mocking those who he thought continued to belittle their own achievements and lower morale.
"Which country are you a citizen of," said Prabowo.
The President then delivered the most decisive statement: "We are not stupid... we know what's happening," while saying that Indonesia knows who finances the movements that slander the nation because Prabowo is afraid that Indonesia is strong and prosperous.
President Prabowo then gave a warning to the managers of the people's wealth not to continue practices that are detrimental to the nation. The government, he said, will deploy all its power without discrimination.
