Support the MBG Program, 1,179 SPPG Polri Built, Target 1,500 Units in 2026
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo reported the acceleration of the construction of a nutrition service kitchen through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. Until mid-February 2026, the National Police has a total of 1,179 SPPG units in various regions.
"Until today, we report that the National Police has 1,179 SPPG," said Listyo Sigit at the inauguration of 1,072 SPPG, 18 Food Security Warehouses, and the groundbreaking of 107 SPPG in Palmerah, West Jakarta Police, Friday, February 13.
He detailed that out of the total, 411 SPPGs had been operational, 162 units were in the operational preparation phase, 499 units were still in the construction phase and were targeted to be completed by March 2026, and 107 new units entered the groundbreaking phase.
The National Police Chief said that when all SPPGs are operational, the service is projected to be able to reach 2,947,500 beneficiaries and absorb 58,950 workers.
In addition to accelerating development, Listyo Sigit also emphasized the equalization of facilities, including in the lagging, leading, and outermost (3T) regions. According to him, as many as 33 SPPGs were built in the 3T region.
"For the Papua region, we are conducting a survey with the National Nutrition Agency to determine the development points in Papua Mountains, South West Papua, and Central Papua," he said.
In the future, the National Police targets the construction of SPPG to continue until it reaches 1,500 units by 2026 throughout Indonesia, by adjusting the President's direction. This step is expected to strengthen support for the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal program nationwide.
