Full of Nostalgia, Shaun Presents Nostalgia in Diary before EP Release

JAKARTA - South Korean singer and songwriter SHAUN greets listeners with his latest pre-release single titled Diary. This song is the third pre-release single ahead of the release of SHAUN's latest EP after Pixels and Night Walk.

Continuing the narrative thread of the project, the song captures a quiet reflection on time and emotion, documenting the past and present as if it were a note in a personal journal.

Diary is built with the instrumentation of an electric guitar-led band that emphasizes simple and open arrangements, with a focus on melody and sonic flow. Shaun also pours a calm and introspective lyrics in this song.

The small details in the lyrics present the past from a peaceful present-day perspective, instead of being stuck in nostalgia. As with his previous works, SHAUN, led the writing, composition, and production process directly in order to maintain his distinctive musical identity.

Meanwhile, the music video for this single was also released to expand the emotional landscape of 'Diary' through a visual narrative that weaves childhood memories of a fictional group called "The Time Machine Club" with the present. This story metaphorically depicts time that cannot be turned back and the bond that remains even though time passes. The cinematic texture and analog-style visuals deepen the nostalgia and reflection of this song.

SHAUN first gained global recognition through the EP [TAKE] in 2018, especially through his breakthrough hit 'Way Back Home', which built his strong international fan base. Since then, he has continued his journey with releases such as 'Hello', '36.5' and the Omnibus series.

Later, SHAUN also actively interacted with his fans through Naver's CHZZK streaming platform, sharing music as well as everyday moments. In December last year, he also held an online solo concert featuring 19 original songs live with a peak audience of about 15,000.
