Bank Jakarta Partners with Pelita Jaya in IBL 2026, Expands Youth Financial Literacy

JAKARTA - Bank Jakarta has collaborated with the Pelita Jaya Jakarta Basketball Team to face the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) competition season.

This cooperation is part of support for the development of sports as well as efforts to expand literacy and financial inclusion in the basketball ecosystem, especially for the younger generation.

The announcement of the collaboration was symbolically held in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 12, attended by the Special Staff of the Governor of DKI Jakarta for Youth and Sports Affairs Dicky Budi Ramadhan, Pelita Jaya Commissioner Aninditha Anestya Bakrie, Pelita Jaya President Andiko Ardi Purnomo, Bank Jakarta Compliance Director Ateng Rivai, and Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi.

Dicky assessed that this collaboration was a concrete form of support for the development of sports in Jakarta.

"This collaboration is a tangible manifestation that Bank Jakarta must be present in every element of city development, including sports. The Governor of DKI Jakarta has great attention to the sports sector because sports can unite citizens, build a spirit of togetherness, and strengthen Jakarta's identity as a progressive and competitive city," said Dicky.

He emphasized that the sports sector is not only about achievements, but also concerns the training of young generations and strengthening the identity of the city.

Bank Jakarta Compliance Director Ateng Rivai said support for Pelita Jaya was a continuation of the company's commitment after previously collaborating with Persija Jakarta.

"Bank Jakarta wants to continue to be closer to the community of mass sports supporters, who have high spirit, loyalty, and pride for their proud club. Through this support, we emphasize the role of Bank Jakarta as a strategic partner that contributes to the development of sports, the training of young generations, and the improvement of literacy and financial inclusion in the basketball community, as well as expanding the reach of brand engagement to the basketball community and dynamic urban communities," explained Ateng.

According to him, the sports ecosystem is a potential space to introduce banking services that are more inclusive and relevant for young people.

President of Pelita Jaya Andiko Ardi Purnomo welcomed the cooperation positively. He assessed that support from Bank Jakarta could strengthen the team's steps in the 2026 IBL season.

"We express our gratitude for the commitment and participation of Bank Jakarta together with Pelita Jaya. We are optimistic that this cooperation will further strengthen the team's achievements and positive contributions to society," said Andiko.

This cooperation includes Bank Jakarta brand exposure on the team's official attributes and promotional materials, activation of branding in Pelita Jaya's home matches throughout the season, collaboration on digital content, and engagement programs with the community.

In addition, sponsorship also opens opportunities for cooperation in strengthening the club's business ecosystem. Among them are the provision of banking services to support team operations and the development of a sustainable youth athlete training program.

Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi said this collaboration is in line with the company's communication and brand transformation strategy.

"Through this synergy, Bank Jakarta not only presents brand exposure, but also builds more inclusive and relevant interactions with the sports community. The momentum of the 2026 IBL competition is the right platform to introduce various innovations in Bank Jakarta's services and programs to the young generation segment that is active, dynamic, and adaptive to digital developments," said Arie.

Through this collaboration, Bank Jakarta and Pelita Jaya hope that the collaboration will not only have an impact on the team's performance on the field, but also strengthen the national basketball ecosystem and Jakarta's position as a city that is active in the development of sports.
