IHH Healthcare Malaysia Strengthens Partnership with Indonesia to Enhance Cross-Border Patient Services

JAKARTA - IHH Healthcare Malaysia continues to expand its collaboration with Indonesia through the Indonesia Partners Roundtable Sessions 2026. This forum is a meeting place between the leaders of Indonesian insurance companies and the management of IHH Healthcare Malaysia to discuss strengthening cross-country health services and increasing access to treatment for patients.

Indonesia is an important country for IHH Healthcare Malaysia, supported by long-term cooperation with various insurance companies in Indonesia. This collaboration facilitates the referral process for patients and access to specialist medical services at the IHH hospital network in Malaysia, with coordinated care and a focus on patient comfort.

Recognizing the diverse characteristics of health services and insurance systems in every region of Indonesia, this series of roundtable sessions was held in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan. The presence of IHH Healthcare sessions in these cities allows IHH Healthcare Malaysia to understand local market dynamics, respond to the evolving needs of partners and patients, and maintain open and transparent communication in the western, central, and eastern Indonesian regions.

This forum is also a forum for open discussion regarding health service trends, changes in patient needs, and opportunities for increased coordination of cross-country care.

The event was attended by Head of Marketing IHH Healthcare Malaysia, Khairul Annuar Yusof, explaining open communication between the health and insurance sectors in encouraging continuous collaboration and alignment.

"Indonesia is one of the important countries for IHH Healthcare Malaysia. Through continuous dialogue and collaboration with insurance partners, we want to ensure that Indonesian patients continue to have easy and sustainable access to quality health services at our hospitals in Malaysia," said Khairul Annuar Yusof, Wednesday, February 11.

"Our approach emphasizes transparency, open communication, and long-term partnerships. Our focus is not only on patient referrals, but also on building sustainable collaboration to improve the patient journey and strengthen health service cooperation between the two countries," he added.

This activity was attended by the founders and directors of agencies from a number of large insurance companies, including Prudential, Manulife, AIA, and AXA Financial Indonesia. This collaboration is also a form of appreciation for the contributions of partners in supporting patient referrals and strengthening services between Hospitals and Insurance to patients who want to get maximum services.

As part of its ongoing commitment in Indonesia, IHH Healthcare Malaysia is also expanding its service presence through Kiosks and Representative Offices to improve coordination and facilitate referral processes for partners and patients. Engagement with local media in each host city also supports information exchange and industry dialogue, while strengthening understanding of cross-country health service collaboration among the wider health community.

Through consistent collaboration between insurance companies, agents, and hospitals, IHH Healthcare Malaysia will continue to strengthen the connectivity of health services between Indonesia and Malaysia, to support patients and partners with coordinated and high-quality care services.
