KKB Kanibal Yahukimo mastermind behind the shooting of the Smart Air plane

JAKARTA - Kaops of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, said that the group of perpetrators who shot at the Smart Air plane in Korowai, Boven Digoel Regency, was carried out by the KKB Kanibal Battalion and the Red Ant Battalion led by Elkius Kobak from Yahukimo.

"Indeed, from the investigation it was revealed that the perpetrator of the shooting was the KKB Kanibal and Red Ant Group, which is a group from Yahukimo," said Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, Thursday, February 12, reported by ANTARA.

Police are currently investigating and hunting down the perpetrators of the shooting.

"The safety of the residents remains the main concern so that the joint security forces ensure that Korowai is calm again," said Kaops Brigadier General Faizal.

According to him, the Cartenz Peace Task Force personnel, assisted by the TNI, entered and took control of the situation around the Korowai airport at around 06.00 WIT, and evacuated the two pioneer crew members who were victims of the shooting that occurred on Wednesday (11/2).

The steps taken to ensure that the situation does not spread further given the safety of the community and the stability of the region are the top priority.

For the two bodies that have been flown to Timika, said Brigadier General Faizal, after the identification and autopsy process and the autopsy were completed, they were sent to Jakarta to be handed over to the family.
