Commission VI of the DPR appreciates Pertamina which is considered to be quick to handle disasters in Sumatra.

JAKARTA - Pertamina received appreciation from Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The red plate company was considered quick to handle the disaster that occurred some time ago in Sumatra.

In the midst of difficult conditions, Pertamina is considered very fast and responsive. This is the discussion that emerged in the Public Hearing (RDP) of Commission VI of the DPR and Pertamina, on Wednesday, February 11.

Apart from Pertamina's readiness in handling the Sumatra disaster, RDP also discussed the plan to distribute melon gas to the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP).

"I would like to thank Pertamina for its quick action in helping the disaster in West Sumaetra (West Sumatra), Aceh, and North Sumatra. In West Sumatra, I felt how fast Pertamina, one of the state-owned companies that is responsive to helping the government solve natural disaster problems," said Andre Rosiade.

Andre described how Pertamina's ranks immediately addressed problems in the field when disasters occurred. One of the people he mentioned was the General Manager (GM) of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, who responded quickly to requests for fuel delivery and logistical assistance for displaced victims in West Sumatra.

In fact, according to Andre, Pertamina International Shipping is also moving quickly to help secure the distribution of fuel in disaster areas.

Mufti Aimah Nurul Anam, also agreed. This member of Commission VI appreciated Pertamina's hard work in responding to disasters in Sumatra. This effort, continued the Mufti, is not easy. Because, it is constrained by infrastructure conditions.

"Even not even a month, the BBM obstacle has been resolved," said the Mufti.

In the future, the Mufti hopes that all parties will learn from the disaster. One of them is the handling SOP for the distribution of fuel in disaster areas.

The same thing was also expressed by another member, Darmadi Durianto. He said that the rapid response of SOEs, inseparable from the leadership of the President Director of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, who is always quick to receive input at any time.

"The CEO's response is quick. Even in the middle of the night, he answered on WA, he was very responsive. Especially to the community, he was very responsive. I once asked for help and it immediately moved," he explained.

According to Darmadi, even the remote Bawean people, thanked Pertamina under Simon's leadership.

RDP Commission VI with the President Director of Pertamina, Wednesday, February 11, discussed two things. First regarding Pertamina's efforts to handle the Sumatra disaster. Second regarding the plan to distribute 3 kg LPG to the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP).

Regarding the efforts made in handling the Sumatra disaster, Pertamina explained that the energy support provided was 3,287 Bright Gas tubes. Meanwhile, Dexlite and Pertamax were 405.2 KL, Avtur 253 KL, PLTS 15 units, and generators 36 units.

Energy distribution in the affected areas is not only carried out through fuel trucks that must pass through heavy and difficult routes. Because of the difficulty of the land route, energy distribution is also carried out through air and sea routes.

Meanwhile, regarding the distribution of melon gas through the KDMP, Pertamina said that Pertamina would continue to monitor. In addition, distribution through the KDMP will not turn off the agent.
