KSAL Orders TNI AL Dankodaeral to Build MBG Kitchen in the Pelosok Region
JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali ordered all commanders of naval regional commands (Dankodaeral) to build a Nutrition Recovery Service Unit (SPPG) in remote areas.
This is done so that the SPPG built by the Indonesian Navy can continue to increase so that it can provide free nutritious meal (MBG) facilities to the community in remote areas of Indonesia.
"Later my direction is that every Kodaeral must have an SPPG, because this Kodaeral is in all corners of Indonesia," said Ali at a press conference at the AL Puspom Headquarters in North Jakarta, Thursday, quoted by Antara.
According to Ali, until now, some people have not been able to enjoy MBG facilities, especially those on the coast, remote islands and remote areas due to limited access.
On the other hand, Kodaeral oversees several Navy bases (Lanal) and AL posts that cover coastal areas and remote areas.
With the access capabilities that kodaeral has, Ali believes that MBG can be presented to coastal communities and other remote areas.
Not only does it have an impact on nutritional recovery, Ali believes that the presence of the TNI AL's SPPG can open up employment opportunities for the community.
With this SPPG belonging to the Indonesian Navy, Ali hopes that the quality of human resources nutrition and Indonesia's economy can be further improved.
"The hope is to reduce the unemployment rate and everyone can benefit from it, and prevent stunting, especially in children," explained Ali.
