Mentrans Iftitah: Negara Sudah Keluarkan Anggaran Rp490 Miliar untuk Rempang

JAKARTA - The Minister of Transmigration (Mentrans) M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara revealed that the state had issued a budget of Rp. 490 billion to resolve the Rempang Eco City land conflict in Batam, Riau Islands.

This was conveyed by Iftitah in a press conference at his office, Wednesday, February 11.

"In Rempang, in 2025, the government has spent around Rp. 490 billion," said Iftitah.

Meanwhile, when the local transmigration program was implemented there, the budget that had to be spent per year was only IDR 112 billion.

"But transmigration to place 504 local families (KK), local people, it only costs around Rp. 112 billion. That's about 25 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, the other 75 percent is filled by other ministries and agencies, such as the Ministry of Public Works (PU), the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) to BP Batam.

"So, in the future, in the development of basic infrastructure, we will collaborate with other ministries/institutions," he said.

The Ministry of Transmigration (Kementrans) has designed a number of priority programs in 2026 which are focused on resolving land issues, strengthening the local economy, and accelerating the transformation of the transmigration area through the presence of resources.

"In 2026, Trans Tuntas will focus on resolving land issues, including the issuance of 11,288 pieces of Ownership Rights Certificates (SHM) for transmigrants in 61 transmigration locations," said Iftitah as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Transmigration, Thursday, February 12.

In addition to issuing SHM, Kementrans will conduct an inventory of transmigration Land Management Rights (HPL) in 50 locations spread across 13 provinces, with a total area of 217,043.26 hectares (ha).

Regarding forest areas, Minister Iftitah emphasized that he would carry out the mandate of Commission V of the DPR RI by upholding the principles of justice and forest sustainability. Currently, 19 transmigration locations have been agreed with the Ministry of Forestry to be released from forest areas and proposed for the issuance of SHM.

On the other hand, the Trans Lokal program remains the heart of local community empowerment. In 2026, Kementrans plans to place 115 heads of households (KK) in two locations, namely 100 KK in the Batam Transmigration Area, Rempang and Galang (Barelang) in Batam, Riau Islands, and 15 KK in the Torire Transmigration Area, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi.

Based on the results of his party's study, said Iftitah, the presence of superior human resources has certain standards of competence, actively conducting research and innovation, and interacting directly with the community and the business world, which has proven to be able to positively drive regional economic growth. This phenomenon is known as knowledge spillover or knowledge flooding in the transmigration area.

"Without superior human resources, economic growth in the region will be in place or looping. Of course we don't expect that to happen again. In the future, we must ensure it in all transmigration areas," he added.
