Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Talks about Martabe Mine, It Turns Out It is Still Being Studied, It Has Not Been Administratively Cancelled

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said that the Martabe gold mining permit has not been administratively revoked.

The government, according to Bahlil, is conducting in-depth studies before determining the steps related to the sanctions to be imposed or other decisions to be taken in accordance with the rules. Bahlil conveyed this to reporters after a limited meeting (ratas) with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 11.

According to Bahlil, the government is also maintaining investment stability and certainty, especially in the mineral, coal, and oil and gas sectors. Regarding the Martabe gold mining permit, according to Bahlil, if it is proven to be wrong, it will be sanctioned.

However, if not, according to Bahlil, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will take steps in accordance with the applicable rules.
