BPBD Bogor Evacuates Car Carried Away by Flood in Bojongkoneng

BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) evacuated a car carried away by flash floods on Jalan Bali Raya Desa Bojongkoneng, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Bogor Regency Regional Secretary Ajat Rochmat Jatnika stated that the BPBD had been moving since the beginning of the incident to ensure that the handling was carried out quickly and coordinated.

"Since the report was received, we have moved. Currently, it is just cleaning the material so that the road access is back to normal," he said as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 11.

The flash flood occurred at around 16.06 WIB due to heavy rain that lasted quite a long time, causing the flow of the tributary in the residential area to overflow and carry mud and rock material to the road.

Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD Bogor Regency M Adam Hamdani said that a four-wheeled vehicle was swept away by the flood and suffered damage, but was successfully evacuated by officers from the location.

"There were no casualties or affected residents. The flood gradually receded and the current handling was focused on cleaning the mud and rock material at the road access," he said.
