Xiaomi Pad 8 S is Ready to Launch Globally with Xiaomi 17? Specifications and Colors Have Been Leaked!

JAKARTA - Xiaomi is rumored to be launching its latest tablet series, Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro, globally at the same time as the Xiaomi 17 flagship line. The launch is rumored to take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona next month.

This information comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on the X platform, who said that the Xiaomi Pad 8 series will follow in the footsteps of the Xiaomi 17 for the global market. Previously, both tablets were introduced in China in September 2025 along with the Xiaomi 17 series.

For the global market, Xiaomi is expected to only release the regular version of Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, while the Pro model is likely to remain exclusive to China. However, the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets are said to be available internationally.

Color and Memory Variants Revealed

According to the leak, the Xiaomi Pad 8 series will come in three color options: blue, green, and gray.

For memory configuration:

Xiaomi Pad 8: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB

The circulating Energy Rating document also shows that both tablets will have IP54 certification, which means they are resistant to dust and water splashes.

Specifications Remain the Same as the Chinese Version

Leaks say that the global specifications will be identical to the Chinese variant, including battery capacity.

The standard version of the Xiaomi Pad 8 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pad 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Both will carry a 11.2-inch screen with a resolution of 3.2K with a refresh rate of 144Hz, and support Dolby Vision and HDR10.

This tablet is likely to run Android 16 with the HyperOS 3 interface equipped with various AI-based features.

For the camera sector, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Meanwhile, the Pad 8 Pro offers a 50MP main camera and a 32MP front camera for selfie and video call needs.

Both carry a large 9,200mAh battery. The standard model supports 45W fast charging, while the Pro version is superior with 67W fast charging.

If this leak is accurate, MWC 2026 will be a global stage for Xiaomi to expand its flagship and premium tablet ecosystem simultaneously. Official details regarding global pricing and availability are expected to be announced at the event.
