Postponement Is Subject To A Balance Check Fee At ATM Link, Social Assistance Recipients Get This Privilege Later
JAKARTA - The Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) and PT Jalin Payment Nusantara (Jalin) emphasized that, specifically for customers who receive social assistance (bansos), checking balances and withdrawing cash at ATM Links are still free.
"Especially for customers who receive social assistance, balance checks and cash withdrawals at ATM Link will not be charged at all," said Deputy Director of BNI Bank Adi Sulistyowati in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, June 3.
Previously, Himbara agreed to reschedule the implementation of adjustment for balance check transaction fees and cash withdrawals made at the Merah Putih ATM machine or ATM Link.
"The tariff adjustment, which was originally to be implemented on June 1, 2021, has been postponed," Adi said.
Adi Sulistyowati, who is familiarly called Susi, hopes that the postponement of this adjustment policy can encourage increased socialization to the wider community.
Although transaction rates at ATM Link will be adjusted later, Himbara customers can still enjoy free balance check and cash withdrawal services through ATMs with the same logo as the card issuer.
"For example, the owner of a BNI ATM card will not be charged a transaction fee if it is used at the BNI ATM Link," said Susi.
In addition, customers also have the option to check their balances for free through mobile banking services.
After the tariff changes are implemented, BRI, BNI, Mandiri and BTN who join the ATM Link service, ensure that transaction services at ATM Link will be better.
Currently, through an extensive network to remote areas, as well as the support of more than 45,000 ATMs, Himbara and Jalin are committed to continuing to accelerate financial inclusion and literacy.
"It should be remembered that the new tariff adjustment for balance check and cash withdrawal rates remains lower than other ATM networks in Indonesia," he said.
