JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (TMI) held the Agency Kick Off 2026 event as a strategic momentum to appreciate the brilliant achievements of agents throughout 2025, as well as strengthening their role as the front line in promoting insurance literacy in Indonesia. The activity which took place some time ago at Skydance, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, North Jakarta marked the start of a new direction and TMI agency initiative in 2026.
This event was attended by the board of directors of PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia as well as around 70 agents from the Jabodetabek area. TMI considers agents not only as marketing personnel, but strategic partners who play an important role in helping people understand risks and make more appropriate and responsible financial decisions.
Throughout 2025, TMI's agency distribution channel recorded impressive growth. The growing public confidence is reflected in the solid premium growth of 6.3 percent, which shows a sharper and dominant market penetration in the general insurance industry.
Not only growing in volume, TMI also shows the quality of the business is getting better through better risk management, where the company managed to significantly reduce the claim rate to 30.6 percent.

The dedication of partners remains the top priority for TMI. This is evidenced by the increase in total commission disbursed by 8.6%, as a form of appreciation for the hard work of agents. In addition, the TMI family continues to grow rapidly with the growth of the number of new agents reaching 16.3%, which directly expands the reach of protection services for more families in Indonesia.
As an additional form of appreciation, TMI provides appreciation to the most outstanding agents, including the launch of a travel incentive program for a new period to motivate service professionalism.
Entering 2026, TMI introduced various strategic initiatives designed specifically to improve the agency's overall capabilities. This step is initiated by strengthening human resources through more structured training and mentoring programs so that agents can appear more comprehensive and adaptive in dealing with market dynamics.
In addition to focusing on human resource development, TMI also carried out digital transformation by updating the Tokio Marine Agency Applications (TAPPS) application to be more user-friendly, as well as launching the Instant Commission feature which provides transparency and convenience for agents in the process of instant commission disbursement.
