Transjabodetabek Blok M-Bandara Beroperasi Sebelum Lebaran, Pramono Bolehkan Penumpang Bawa Koper
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that his party was still finalizing preparations for the opening of the Transjabodetabek service on the Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport route, which will operate before the Eid al-Fitr celebration this year.
If it is later operational, Pramono allows passengers on the Transjabodetabek route from Blok M to the airport to carry large-sized suitcases and bags as long as they can still be accommodated on the bus.
"Later the technicalities will be on the ground. But what is clear is that as long as (the bag or large bag) can fit on the bus, yes, please," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, February 11.
This statement answers concerns about the flexibility of the service, given that the Blok M-Soetta route will be used by prospective airplane passengers who carry large luggage, especially ahead of the Lebaran homecoming season.
Pramono said, in principle, the Ministry of Transportation had given operational permits for the route. However, there are a number of new stops that still need to be improved before the service is launched.
"We are preparing and perfecting it. In principle, the Ministry of Transportation has given permission, but there will be some new stops that must be improved," said Pramono.
"Later, if this is the case, my clear target, I have conveyed to the Transportation Office and also TransJakarta that it must be before Lebaran so that it can benefit the community," he continued.
Pramono targets this route to carry 2,000 passengers per day. The plan when the route opens will be 20 buses will be prepared to serve the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport journey. The number of transportation will be added in line with the ridership.
Pramono ensured that the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soetta Airport service had a stop point in front of the airport terminal and was not like the Transjakarta SH1 service which only stopped at the Soekarno-Hatta office.
"So later at Soekarno-Hatta itself there will be three terminals that will be discontinued. Terminal 1A, 1B, and Terminal 3. Later there will be cooperation between Transjakarta and Angkasa Pura," said Pramono.
