Ahead of Ramadan, Minister of Agriculture Amran Claims Rice Stock of 3.4 Million Tons

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman said that the national rice stock is currently at 3.4 million tons. This was conveyed by Amran at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 11.

According to Amran, this figure is the government's foothold for Ramadan, including preparing a food assistance scheme. Amran also conveyed that in March 2026, the national rice stock can reach 4 million tons.

Amran also touched on the target of self-sufficiency in corn. He said that for feed needs, Indonesia is self-sufficient and there is no import in 2025.
