JAKARTA - The trend of using digital payments based on the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS) continues to show an increase, including in various public and sports activities.
For information, Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that the volume of digital payment transactions through QRIS in the fourth quarter of 2025 continued to grow high reaching 139.99 percent (yoy).
Governor of BI Perry Warjiyo said that the growth of digital economic and financial transactions in the fourth quarter of 2025 remained high supported by a safe, smooth, and reliable payment system.
"The volume of digital payment transactions reached 14.26 billion transactions or grew 39.21 percent (yoy) in the fourth quarter of 2025 supported by the expansion of digital payment acceptance," Perry said in a press conference, Wednesday, January 21.
Furthermore, the transaction volume through mobile and internet applications grew by 12.10 percent (yoy) and 15.10 percent (yoy).
This can be seen in the Funday event held by the Bogor City Youth and Sports Office (Dispora) as the opening of the 2026 West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) series.
The recreational sports event, which was attended by around 5,000 participants, not only invited the public to live an active and healthy life, but also became a momentum to strengthen the non-cash transaction ecosystem in public spaces.
In this activity, PT Jatelindo Perkasa Abadi (Jatelindo) was present to support as a provider of QRIS digital payment services.
Jatelindo Operations Director Nandan Sandaya said this participation reflects the increasing adoption of QRIS in various community activities, including sports events.
"The presence of this QRIS service is a tangible form of support from Jatelindo for the digitization of transactions in public activities involving the participation of the community at large," he explained in his statement, Wednesday, February 11.
He added that the presence of QRIS provides convenience for participants and business actors in making transactions quickly, safely, and practically without cash.
According to him, this step also emphasizes the commitment of his party in encouraging the acceleration of payment digitization and expanding financial inclusion, especially in the sports community and MSMEs built by the Bogor City Dispora.
Nandan said that to support transparency, Jatelindo also provides a transaction monitoring dashboard that allows business actors to monitor payment activities in real time.
"Collaboration with the Bogor City Sports and Culture Agency is part of Jatelindo's commitment to encourage the use of QRIS as an efficient and easily accessible payment solution. We hope that this synergy can increase the ease of transactions and payment literacy," he said.
He added, Jatelindo together with the Bogor City Sports and Culture Office plans to expand collaboration through socialization and education programs, to ensure that the implementation of QRIS runs optimally and has a long-term impact for all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor City Youth and Sports Office, Anas S. Rasmana, said that this collaboration is expected to be able to increase the ease and security of transactions in every public activity.
According to him, the use of QRIS is also part of the adaptation towards a more sustainable business ecosystem in the digital era.
"Through collaboration with Jatelindo, we hope that the QRIS service can provide ease, security, and transparency of transactions, so that it can support business sustainability in the digital era," he concluded.
