Kasad General Maruli Asked His Staff to Support the President's Program at the 2026 TNI AD Rapim
JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, invited his staff to step on the gas to support President Prabowo Subianto's program, which is considered to directly touch the people, with the TNI AD soldiers as the front line of its implementation.
This was conveyed by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Army, General Maruli, at the 2026 TNI AD Leadership Meeting which carried the theme "TNI AD is Present for the People, Realizing SISHANKAMRATA Towards a Prosperous Indonesia" which was held at the Kartini Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/2).
"We will step on the gas. This is the best momentum with the policies of President (Prabowo) many of which really touch the people and we are the leading actors," said General Maruli when giving information to reporters.
"This is our chance to change our nation for the better," he added.
Furthermore, this 1992 Abituren Military Academy explained, President Prabowo assessed the performance of the TNI AD was good and continued to be improved (including the implementation of President Prabowo's programs).
"The President considers what the TNI AD has done quite good. He hopes it will continue to be improved," said Kasad.
The general, who spent much of his career in the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) environment, said that in addition to existing programs, his party believed that many things would become programs that must be worked on together with the support of the Indonesian Army.
"Programs such as KDKMP (Red and White Village Cooperative), how the bridge will be built, KKRI (Indonesian Republic Cadet Corps), MBG (Free Nutritious Meal), we will continue to improve and evaluate them so that they are better," said General Maruli.
Kasad believes that if all of President Prabowo's programs are carried out, it will have an impact on the community.
"At least we, in terms of the people, it's hard for us to pick them up, with MBG to them, the cooperatives are all the way, the bridges are all the way, I'm sure this will all have an immediate effect," General Maruli said.
However, Kasad admitted that everything that was done was inseparable from shortcomings. However, all of this will continue to be done the best, highlighting the implementation of MBG which he considered to be extraordinary during the first year, as well as the bridge development program which he targeted was able to build 500-600 bridges a month.
"I'm trying again with the Kodim-Kodim, Korem-Korem, I can do it like that. Hopefully we can do it well," he hoped.
"Apart from the flagship program, President Prabowo also pays attention to the issue of budget management and the welfare of TNI AD soldiers, including the increase in Performance Allowance (Tukin) planned this year," said General Maruli.
"There are already instructions (from the President of the Republic of Indonesia) on how to make our budgets accurate, so that we allocate a lot for home improvements, Koramil offices, awards to members, that's what he underlined," explained Kasad.
"If they are really outstanding, both in the field of operations, territorial activities, natural disasters, they are given awards. So there are also many presentations from him regarding the improvement of soldiers' welfare," he said.
It is known that the 2026 TNI AD Rapim was attended by the TNI AD's Main Officials, the Commander of the TNI Main Command, the Commander of the Military Regional Command, the Commander/Head of the Central Implementation Agency of the Army, the Commander of the Korem, the Commander of the Kodim and the commander of the unit throughout Indonesia.
A total of around 930 people attended in person and more than 1,000 unit commanders via video conference.
