Victim Admits to Being Asked to Meet by Party Claiming Mohan Hazian's Family

JAKARTA - The case of sexual harassment involving the name of the founder of the Thanksinsomnia fashion brand, Mohan Hazian, has entered a new phase.

One of the victims with the Twitter (X) account @aarummanis, revealed that he was first contacted by a party claiming to be a representative of the perpetrator.

Through his upload, the victim told the chronology when a foreign number contacted him through a WhatsApp short message. The number claimed to be a representative of Mohan Hazian and asked to meet in person.

The victim felt awkward with how the perpetrators could get his personal number. He suspected that there was involvement from a brand.

"I have only ever shared my number with the Talent Scouter brand with the initials S," the victim said in his statement, quoted Wednesday, February 11.

When trying to clarify the identity of the sender of the message, the victim did not get a clear answer.

"When I asked who, from which institution, and found out where my number came from, the number did not answer. Then the number said that they were representatives of the family of the perpetrator," he continued.

The party who claimed to be the family of the perpetrator urged the victim to meet with the excuse of wanting to listen to an explanation of what actually happened. However, the request was rejected outright by the victim.

He emphasized that there was no interest in meeting with the party who claimed to be a representative of the family, especially in the midst of the trauma experienced.

"I have no urgency to meet with the 'family representative' of the perpetrator. I do not respond and am currently processing legal assistance," he said.

Previously, the victim stated that Mohan Hazian had not shown good faith officially. The victim regretted the silence of the perpetrator over this case which has become public consumption.

"Until now, there has been no goodwill from the perpetrators or brands to contact me or other victims. There is no apology that I or other victims have received," said @aarummanis.

At the end of his statement, he hoped that this case would be a turning point so that the creative industry environment and other social spaces were free of sexual predators. He hopes that there will be no more room for sexual harassers to move freely without firm sanctions.
